Grammar Schools in Kingston upon Thames
Kingston's two grammar schools do not run a shared test. They test separately, on overlapping but different dates, and use different arrangements.
Where the official practice material is
Not disclosed
1 of the 2 schools hereThe school does not publish which provider sets its test, and that is deliberate. There is no official familiarisation material to find, and anything advertised as matching this school's paper is guesswork.
Quest Assessments
1 of the 2 schools hereA short online familiarisation test covering every subject at 11+, plus a walkthrough of the assessment, a vocabulary list and reading lists for Years 3 to 6. No past papers.
What families in Kingston upon Thames need to know
- Tiffin School (boys) works in partnership with Quest Assessments for its Year 7 entrance tests. Stage 1 in October 2026, Stage 2 mid-November.
- The Tiffin Girls' School names no external provider. Stage 1 is English and maths, entered on an answer sheet and marked by computer; the school’s privacy notice confirms an unnamed third-party processor marks and standardises it. Stage 2, in the school’s own words, is ‘set and marked by the school’.
- Tiffin Girls' publishes no past or sample papers at all, and changes the number of questions, timings and question types each year.
- Because the two schools test separately, applying to both means sitting two sets of papers.
